The house is a small frame house built by Michael Dooley, a prominent builder in early Glendale. It is a fine example of an American Farmhouse style building. During work to add an addition in 2003, in an area that may have been the outhouse, a number of artifacts were found including a mortar shell that is believed to date to the War of 1812 and Civil War era items.
