Black Squirrel Gift Shop
Glendale Heritage Preservation is proud to announce the GLENDALE-OPOLY Game will be hitting the shelves of our Black Squirrel Gift Shop soon!! Here is your chance to own a piece of Glendale’s history and reminisce as you travel around the game board and pick up properties along the way!
The game is chock full of history and memories alike! On the back of each property deed card is a little snip-it of information about the location! Glendale actually had TWO bars that served the community as a Speak Easy during Prohibition. You can find out where when you play the game!
While it is impossible to include everything about Glendale and all the many people who have made Glendale the charming village it is, we jammed all we could into the game. From our black squirrel that was brought to Glendale by Tom Carruthers and his father-in-law Ralph Rogan, to our great restaurants, churches and schools.
Even the tokens have historic significance! Opekasit Farm’s milk bottle, the trains, our trees, the oldest operating police station in Ohio and the skeleton key that locked every home years ago! We hope a trip around the GLENDALE OPOLY board will bring back fond memories and create new ones when you and your family play the game.
A heartfelt thank you to all of our sponsors who helped make the game come to life! Games will be available to purchase inside the Glendale Heritage Preservation Museum’s Black Squirrel Gift Shop within the next week. The price of each game will be $25.
