This house was built by Mr Gross and Mr. Clement Dietrich in 1855. The John Jones family bought the home in 1865. Christ Episcopal Church was founded as a result of an 1865 meeting in the house. The house was extensively altered in 1920 with the addition of a colossal portico and relocation of the main entrance.
