Marston Allen House, 40 East Fountain Avenue - C1854
The home of Marston Allen, the fifth signer of of the Articles of Incorporation and a prime mover in getting the fledgling village off to a good start. When this house was built it had an outstanding view of the surrounding rural countryside. The style is Classic Revival – a square-in-plan two story brick home which is essentially unaltered on the outside with the exception of the missing verandas which surrounded two or more sides of the house.
